Bangalore North Chess Forum, popularly know as BNCF was establshed by a group of parents who's children were pursuing chess. It was founded by two women entrapreuners, as a non-profit entity in 2015 with a motto of "Let's Promote!!" Chess. Then main objective of BNCF is to promote chess at gross root level.

Since then BNCF has contributed enromously to Karnataka Chess by organizing Chess tournaments at various levels, organizing training camps such as on-premise camps, online coaching camps and webinars. It went on to become one of the leading chess schools in Bangalore City. BNCF is affiliated to United Karnataka Chess Association (UKCA), a state chess governing body.

BNCF scaled new heights and became popular not just in Bangalore but all across Karnataka State when BEL Officer's Club associated with BNCF to promote the game of Chess. BEL Officer's Club is famous for its lush green campus that house a wonder playing arena. Surrounded by a beautiful lung space, chess players and parents fell in love with BNCF tournaments not only because of the beautiful venue but also for the professional oragnizing skills that Team BNCF posses.

The journey began when BNCF organized a tiny tournament in a small facility at Vidyaranyapura for Under-7 age category budding talents for the first time ever in Karnataka. This tiny tournament, that attracted over 50 Under-7 kids led a platform for the Team BNCF to scale-up its operations to promote chess in a big and better way.

Upon seeing the potential of BNCF, BEL Officer's Club (BEOC) pitched in to take the chess promotion to whole new level. The then General Secretary of BEOC who was the chief guest at Under-7 tournament, offered BNCF an opprtunity to conduct a chess tournament at their venue. Since then, there was no looking back. Together, Team BEOC and Team BNCF is exploring new possibilities to promote chess at various levels by conduting numerous one day events, State Championships, Grand-Prix and even extended their wonderful support to United Karnataka Chess Association (UKCA) to organize Under-17 National Chess Championship in the year 2015.

On the chess coaching front, BNCF has a team of reputed chess coaches that teach number of students at state of the art training center located in Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore and also on-line. BNCF has been faciliting various schools Extra Curricular Activity(ECA) by introducing Chess as one of the activity.

BNCF has a reputation for its punctuality, effective planning, and great attention to detail anything it does on Chess!


2013 - 2014 : Parents meetup

Parents of few chess players happen to meet each other at various tournaments across Bangalore and started teaming to brainstorm to conceptualize a Chess entiry in northern part of Bangalore.

2015 : Under-7 Chess Tournament : Birth of BNCF

Team of parents get togther and organize a first ever Under-7 Chess tournament under the banner of Bangalore North Chess Forum. Coaching Classes starts at BNCF facility at Vidyaranyapura. BEL Officer's Club join hands with BNCF to promote Chess. A buch of systematic execution of one-day chess events laid a platform to organize Under-17 Nationals at BEOC by UKCA.

2016 - 2017 : Tournaments! Tournaments!!

BNCF organizes State Rapid and Blitz Championships, Monthly one day events with rapid and long-format chess tournaments.

2018 to 2019 : The Grand-Prix, First of its kind in India

BNCF introduces first time ever on-line Webinars on Chess, Summer Chess Camps and regular coaching camps and Online Chess Tournaments.
